The Left, after their Thursday Supreme Court drubbing and the mortifying Biden overseas debacle, are feeling a little touchy these days. It is amusing to watch, as the collective schadenfreude (a German term for taking joy out of an opponent’s misery) of America kicks into high gear.

FNC: “MSNBC anchor Joy Reid compared Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and other members of the Republican Party to Confederate soldiers and terrorist sympathizer on a Thursday segment of ‘The Reid Out.’ Reid made the comparison during a discussion with MSNBC political contributors Jason Johnson and Charlie Sykes about an opinion piece by progressive pundit Dean Obeidallah, who writes the Jan. 6 Capitol riot was terrorism.”

“If that is the case, that makes Republicans at this point terrorist sympathizers, and willingly so,” Reid said. “People like [McConnell] are willing to support terrorism in exchange for power. Go back everyone and read the way former Confederate soldiers behaved back then in the 1870’s through the 1920’s. It’s exactly the same way they’re behaving right now.” Oh, she is very very upset and through the roof with incoherent bile. Tres amusing.

Her recent guest host, Jason Johnson, joined the unintentionally funny bitterness festival. “There’s are a lot of crazy Republicans out there. But the issue is that the core of their party, their actual intellectual leadership like Mitch McConnell, like Ted Cruz, they too are terrorist sympathizers,” he said. “And they too are serious about empowering the kinds of outside organizations that one day want to take over this country and kill anyone who does not believe what they want to believe.” You mean organizations like BLM and Antifa? Nope, they belong to you guys.

Reid had the last babble. “What McConnell is doing is undemocratic. The Bible might even call it wickedness in high places, AKA evil,” she said. A Democrat referencing the Bible? Yikes! Better not let the Thought Police hear you, Joy.

And why are they so ticked off, even aside from their recent political defeats? Well, the latest Nielsen numbers are in and they are not kind to MSNBC. Nielsen: “Fox News averaged 1.2 million viewers from June 7-13 to finish No. 1 among all of basic cable while no other networks cracked the one-million viewer benchmark…MSNBC came in third…CNN settled for sixth place by averaging only 557,000 viewers. Fox News has now topped both MSNBC and CNN as the most-watched cable news network among both total day and primetime viewers for 17-straight weeks. While Fox News has been thumping CNN on a regular basis, the past week marked its greatest percent advantage over CNN in both categories since September 2020 with triple-digit percent advantages.”
