Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, a vocal supporter of Donald Trump, recently set his sights on Vice President Kamala Harris, accusing her of “gaslighting” the American public regarding her political record.

In a no-holds-barred, six-minute online rant, Portnoy shared his frustrations with his 3.2 million followers. He said he usually avoids talking politics but couldn’t stay silent any longer after listening to Harris’ recent interviews, as reported by the Daily Mail.

“It’s the gaslighting that the Left is doing with Kamala Harris, making it sound like she’s some great, groundbreaking candidate,” Portnoy declared.

Portnoy’s main issue with Harris is her attempt to brand herself as a candidate for change, despite her position as Vice President under Joe Biden.

He expressed disbelief, stating, “This is the sitting Vice President of the United States saying she’s the candidate for change.” He emphasized that Harris seems to distance herself from the administration while supporting Biden’s decisions since 2020.

From his perspective, the problems facing America are largely due to the Biden-Harris administration.

“On the world stage, Afghanistan was a disaster, the Middle East is basically in flames,” Portnoy explained,

‘Then on the homeland, inflation is out of control, people are burning American flags in the street, defunding the police, law and order doesn’t even seem to matter anymore, you got the border.

‘So many issues.’

Portnoy believes that the 2024 election comes down to two types of voters: those who despise Trump and those who support him. “People who hate Trump would vote for a potato, or a head of lettuce, or anything,” he quipped, noting that his own father is in that camp. “And that’s my Dad. It doesn’t matter who’s running, he hates Trump so much, he’d vote for whoever you’d put up there.”

Former President Donald Trump poses at a campaign rally July 27 at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota. In his speech, Trump called on his supporters to flip the state red.

Portnoy also highlighted Harris’ poor performance during her 2020 presidential run, where she failed to secure any significant voter support. “There’s a reason she dropped out before the primaries. She didn’t get one vote,” he pointed out.

He saved some of his strongest criticisms for Harris’ media appearances, accusing interviewers like Stephen Colbert of lobbing softball questions at her.

Even worse, Portnoy said, is her inability to provide clear answers during these interviews. “She never gives a straight answer. She doesn’t seem to be able to be able to put, to put coherent thoughts together,”Portnoy said, expressing concern about her ability to represent the U.S. on the international stage.

As reported by various outlets, Portnoy’s allegiance to Trump solidified after his initial choice, Nikki Haley, exited the Republican primary race.
