In a move that has sparked intense backlash, President Joe Biden awarded liberal billionaire and Democratic megadonor George Soros the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, wasted no time in publicly condemning the decision, launching a series of scathing posts on X, as reported by Fox News.

“A travesty that Biden is giving Soros the Medal of Freedom,” Musk declared, lambasting the recognition of a man whose financial influence has fueled leftist causes nationwide.

Soros has poured billions into campaigns promoting progressive politicians and policies, many of which critics argue have eroded the rule of law and public safety.

Musk didn’t stop there. He called Soros a “genius” in finance and politics but lamented, “I just wish he loved, rather than hated, humanity.”

Musk’s criticism extended to Soros’ controversial ties to Israel, referencing a report about the Israeli ambassador to the UN slamming Soros for backing NGOs sympathetic to Hamas.

“George Soros’s hatred of humanity includes Israel btw,” Musk posted.

Never one to shy away from humor, Musk shared a meme comparing Soros to Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars, captioning it, “George Soros looking quite good here. Must be the lighting.” He also pointed to Soros’ role in orchestrating what he described as a “fake asylum-seeker nightmare” destabilizing the West.

Soros’ global influence, wielded through his Open Society Foundations, has long been a lightning rod for criticism. Since 1984, the Hungarian-born billionaire has funneled over $32 billion into progressive initiatives worldwide.

Critics, like Heritage Foundation legal fellow Zack Smith, argue that Biden’s decision to honor Soros is a slap in the face to Americans suffering under the policies Soros has championed.

“President Biden’s decision to award George Soros the Medal of Freedom is a slap in the face to the citizens and crime victims suffering under the policies and politicians he has promoted,” Smith told Fox News Digital.

“It cheapens what should be a prestigious award and gives everyday Americans yet another reason to be disgusted by the current Administration’s actions.”

Soros’ financial support for radical district attorneys and their progressive “reimagining” of policing has been linked to surging crime rates in major cities. Policies like ending cash bail and reducing sentencing requirements have drawn widespread public outrage.

Recent elections saw 12 out of 25 Soros-backed prosecutors voted out or recalled, signaling growing frustration with his influence.

In a rare moment of international solidarity, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni praised Musk, stating, “Musk is not a danger to Democracy, but rather George Soros is.” Musk’s response was emphatic: “And Soros is being defeated.”

The Open Society Foundations did not respond to requests for comment, leaving critics and everyday Americans to question whether Biden’s decision was a reward for loyalty rather than merit.
