In a shocking display of deceit, two Louisiana high school students fabricated explicit online messages in an effort to frame their teacher as a predator.
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the scheme, devised by a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old from Central Lafourche High School in Mathews, unraveled during a thorough investigation, as reported by The New York Post.
The allegations initially surfaced on December 18, when the female students accused an unnamed male teacher of sending them inappropriate messages. Their claims triggered an immediate probe by law enforcement, who soon discovered that the allegations were entirely baseless.

Investigators obtained search warrants for the students’ electronic devices, revealing the shocking truth: the girls had created an online profile posing as the teacher and generated fake conversations to implicate him.
To sell their story, the students shared screenshots of the fabricated chats with their peers. Their intent was clear: ruin the teacher’s career and reputation. However, their plot began to crumble as detectives pieced together the evidence.
After two weeks of investigating, authorities concluded that the teacher was not a predator but a victim of malicious accusations.
When confronted, one of the girls reportedly confessed to orchestrating the hoax. Sheriff Craig Webre, addressing the incident, emphasized the severe impact false allegations can have. “Someone’s life can be instantly ruined by a false allegation, and I am proud that our investigators were able to get to the bottom of this,” Webre stated.
He also noted the dual role of technology in this case: while it allowed the girls to fabricate evidence, it also enabled detectives to uncover the truth. “Technology has made it very easy for people to try to manipulate the truth, but technology also makes it easy for investigators to ultimately find the truth,” Webre explained.
Both students now face charges of false swearing for the purpose of violating public health or safety, cyberstalking, and online impersonation. Due to their ages, their names have not been released.
Lafourche Parish School District Superintendent Jarod Martin expressed his shock and outrage over the false allegations, noting the teacher nearly lost his livelihood due to the students’ actions. He condemned their blatant attempt to destroy the educator’s credibility and reputation.
