Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes made an energetic appearance at Texas Tech’s basketball game on Tuesday night, joining in on the excitement after a Red Raiders fan nailed a 94-foot putt during an intermission contest.

Mahomes, who played college football at Texas Tech from 2014 to 2016, was courtside for the Red Raiders’ matchup against Houston.

During halftime, a fan lined up for the full-court putting challenge—a long shot contest commonly seen during college basketball intermissions.

The fan’s prize for sinking the putt was a pair of Apple AirPods Max, which retail for $549, according to the school.

The highlight provided a moment of excitement in what turned out to be a tough night for Texas Tech.
