At the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), former ICE Director Tom Homan delivered a fiery speech on border security, making it clear that he has no interest in appeasing critics.
He sharply criticized the Biden administration for what he described as a deliberate effort to weaken border security, contrasting it with previous administrations that he claimed took steps to secure the border.
Homan opened his speech with a blunt message to the media and his detractors, showing no concern for the inevitable criticism that would follow.

“Let me start out by saying this, if I offend anybody today, I don’t give a sh*t,” Homan declared.
“Don’t care the media in the back room. I’m sure I’ll be reading a lot of hit pieces on me tomorrow. I don’t give a sh*t what you think about me.”
He acknowledged that he is a divisive figure in the immigration debate but made it clear that public opinion would not deter him from his mission.
“I get asked all the time, there’s a body, there’s a big part of this country that hate your guts. And I don’t care. I don’t care because we got a job to do.”

Homan did not hold back in his assessment of the Biden administration’s handling of the border, accusing the president of deliberately dismantling security measures that had been put in place.
“You know, I wake up every day for the last four years pissed off because the Biden administration took the most secure border in my lifetime and unsecured it on purpose,” he said.
He contrasted Biden’s policies with those of past presidents, arguing that even Democratic leaders had taken steps to strengthen border security.
“I worked for six presidents, starting with Ronald Reagan. Every president I ever worked for took steps to secure the border. Even Clinton, Obama, took steps to secure the border,” Homan stated.
“They clearly understood you can’t have national security without border security. They got it.”

Homan accused Biden of being the first president in American history to intentionally leave the border unsecured, a move he described as unprecedented.
“Joe Biden’s the first president in the history of the nation who came into office and unsecured the border on purpose,” he said. “So for four years, I wake up every day pissed off.”
Homan’s tone shifted when discussing the 2024 election results, making it clear that his frustration had been replaced with optimism.
“That changed November 5,” he said. “Now I wake up every day excited because I work for the greatest president of my lifetime, Donald J. Trump.”

Homan has long been a strong supporter of Trump’s border policies and has been vocal about his commitment to assisting in efforts to restore strict immigration enforcement.
As the Biden administration’s border policies continue to face scrutiny, Homan’s remarks at CPAC reflect the renewed push for stronger border security under President Trump’s leadership.
With Homan set to play a key role in shaping future immigration enforcement, the battle over border security is far from over.
