Pedro Pascal, known for his roles in HBO’s The Last of Us and Disney’s The Mandalorian, has drawn criticism from fans after posting a pro-transgender message on Instagram.

The post comes as Disney continues to struggle at the box office, with many attributing its financial losses to the company’s promotion of left-wing social ideologies.
Pascal shared an image with his 8.8 million followers featuring a sign that read, “A world without trans people has never existed. And never will.”
Elon Musk Called This Financial News 'Terrifying'
In the caption, he wrote, “I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist.”

The post received backlash from some fans, with several stating they would unfollow the actor.
One user wrote, “You were my favourite actor…. I’m unfollowing you…. Bullit.” Pascal responded with apparent sarcasm, saying, “nooooooooooo,” according to a report from Breitbart News.
Another fan expressed disappointment, commenting that Pascal had been one of their favorite actors, to which Pascal replied, “That’s too bad. Wait, no I don’t give a sh.”
Pascal is set to appear in two major Disney productions in the coming years.

He will star as Mister Fantastic in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, scheduled for release this summer, and he is set to reprise his role as Din Djarin in The Mandalorian, which will make its theatrical debut in 2026.
The controversy surrounding Pascal’s comments comes at a time when Disney is struggling to recover from a series of underperforming releases.
The entertainment giant has faced significant criticism for incorporating left-wing social messaging into its films, a trend that has coincided with a string of box office disappointments.
One example was Pixar’s Elemental, which included transgender themes in a movie marketed toward children.
Another was Lightyear, a Toy Story spinoff that featured a same-sex kissing scene.
The film’s lead actor, Chris Evans, dismissed concerns from audiences who objected to LGBT content being featured in children’s entertainment.
“The real truth is those people are idiots,” Evans said in an interview with Reuters at the time.
“Every time there’s been social advancement as we wake up, the American story, the human story is one of constant social awakening and growth and that’s what makes us good.”
Despite its continued efforts to push progressive social messaging, Disney has suffered massive financial losses.
Since 2022, the company has lost more than $1 billion on box office releases.
The company has since attempted to course-correct, as executives acknowledge declining interest in some of its recent projects.
Pascal’s dismissive attitude toward fans adds to the growing divide between Hollywood elites and their audiences.
With Disney looking to rebound from its financial setbacks, how Pascal’s upcoming films perform at the box office remains to be seen.
