President Donald Trump issued a strong rebuke of mainstream media outlets during a speech at the Department of Justice, accusing networks like CNN and MSNBC—referred to by Trump as “MSDNC”—of spreading propaganda and attempting to manipulate public perception and judicial rulings.
Trump’s remarks come amid ongoing tensions between his administration and major media organizations, which he has repeatedly criticized for biased coverage.
Speaking before DOJ officials, Trump directly called out these outlets for what he described as coordinated efforts to influence legal proceedings against him and other conservatives.
Elon Musk Called This Financial News 'Terrifying'
“I believe that CNN and MSDNC, who literally write 97.6% bad about me, are political arms of the Democrat Party. And in my opinion, they’re really corrupt, and they’re illegal. What they do is—it’s legal,” Trump said, before adding that media bias remains unchanged regardless of election results.
“It makes no difference how big a victory I had. I can have the biggest victory in history. It makes no difference what a failure the other side has—these people are going to go after me.”
Trump further accused the media of playing a direct role in shaping judicial decisions, stating that their influence makes it difficult for him and others to receive fair trials.
“These networks and these newspapers are really no different than a highly paid political operative, and it has to stop. It has to be illegal,” he said.
“It’s influencing judges, and it’s really changing law. And it just cannot be legal. I don’t believe it’s legal. And they do it in total coordination with each other.”

Trump reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to restoring integrity to America’s institutions, promising to bring accountability back to the highest levels of government.
“Everything we do, we’re restoring law, restoring order, and restoring public safety in America. We’re bringing honor and integrity and accountability back to the highest levels of the FBI, DOJ, and throughout our government. We’re bringing our country back faster than anyone ever thought possible,” Trump stated.
“We’re working so hard at doing it, and we want fairness in the courts. The courts are a big factor.”

Trump’s remarks follow ongoing legal battles that many of his supporters have described as politically motivated.
He has faced multiple investigations and legal proceedings in deep-blue states, where prosecutors and judges have ties to left-wing groups.
Throughout his presidency and beyond, Trump has accused the mainstream media of working in coordination with political operatives to influence public opinion.
He cited past events—including the Russia investigation, his two impeachments, and the January 6th investigations—as examples of media-driven narratives designed to undermine his presidency.
The president’s criticism of media bias is not new, but his latest remarks suggest he sees their influence extending beyond public discourse and into the judicial system.

His concerns about fairness in the courts echo sentiments from many conservatives who believe that legal cases against Trump and his allies are being shaped by a hostile media environment.
As Trump continues his push for accountability, his remarks signal that media influence over legal and political proceedings will remain a key issue heading into future elections.
